Changing a demo user name

When changing a demo user name (project > security > demo users) and deploying the app in the free Mendix cloud (sandbox environment) does not seem to work anymore. Apparently, the old name is still remembered/stored because logging in with the old name still works. How could this be caused?

BTW. When deploying the app locally, changing the demo user name DOES work...
