How can we show rest webservice response in Datagrid

I have page with a datagrid. When this page is loaded a rest api call should be triggerd and data should be shown in datagrid

Option 1.

Attach datasource of datagrid to Microflow , call the webservice and populate Non persistent entity. THen try to show the NPE in datagrid.

Or are there any other options
