Listview Styling Help Needed

I have a listview that displays contact information for a user (email and phone). The listview is inside of a Layout Grid that has a gray background. I would like the listview objects to have the same gray background, however I've tried putting that color on several different elements on this page with no success - see screenshot below:

As you can see, the listview objects have a white background. Any pointers about how to get these ListView rows to have a gray background?
