Application was using LDAP in v8 for user provisioning which is deprecated, what to do in version 9?

We migrated to v9 of Mendix and getting compilation errors with LDAP, I see there is a new LDAP module available now in v9 but can we use it or should we move to something else? One more option we are looking at implementing now or in the future is that if the user opens the app and their AD login is recognised, it should automatically log them in but at the moment we want to just complete the upgrade and let the user login as they are doing with username and password that were synced from AD.
